If you’re after a top-tier gaming and productivity PC that sports a badass design, the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8080A34 should be on your shortlist – provided you have lots of cash (or at least credit) to spend on it. With a Core i9-13900KF and an RTX 4070 Ti, both liquid-cooled, this beautiful piece of equipment delivers top-end performance while rocking a unique design that’s only seen on premium rigs.

The system uses the exceptional HYTE Y60 case that’s of higher quality than you’ll find on most prebuilt gaming PCs, including some of the best pre-built gaming PCs, with lots of room for adding extra components and excellent cooling. HYTE is a subdivision of CyberPowerPC’s rival iBuyPower, but these pre-built PC integrators have always shared parts, especially when they’re this good. The case on its own is a winner, offering impressive airflow, an attractive 3-piece panoramic glass design, and unmatched expandability.

The CyberpowerPC GXiVR8080A34 sounds like an overkill too and that’s because there’s some unbridled horsepower under the hood. In this case, we’re looking at a gaming machine that debuts with an Intel core i9-13900KF, a 24-core CPU that boosts up to 5.8GHz. It’s an incredible chip and one we’ve praised in our in-depth review. CyberpowerPC paired this impressive Intel processor with a performant Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card (12GB), 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD storage.

The result is a spectacular, incredibly powerful, and reasonably priced gaming PC when all things are put into consideration, especially the new case, latest components, and innovative case cooling.

Design and Features

The HYTE Y60 case is designed to ultimately show off a PC’s interior, which in the case of the GXiVR8080A34 is a major plus. Sure, the exterior looks nice, with the 3-piece pinnacle glass and metallic frame and CyberpowerPC logo bursting on the lower front panel. The front-access ports are on the side flank and the rest are at the back.

But it’s the 3-piece glass side panels that showcase the real star here: the system’s interior components. The Lian Li PC-O11 case has been in the market for years now because it bridges the gap between performance-focused airflow and aesthetics with its tempered glass, and because of its success several companies have tried to mimic that case design. HYTE, a subdivision of iBuyPower is inspired by Lian Li’s case design.

The HYTE Y60 used on the GXiVR8080A34 is an ATX mid-tower case that stands out mostly for its three tempered glass panels, which provide a panoramic view of the PC’s hardware. The Y60 also features a dedicated basement for cooling, alongside three 120mm 3-pin case fans. Instead of two glass panels, as you’d find on most gaming PCs, there are three here, giving the chassis a wrap-around look. What’s more, the layout of the glass panels allows for a panoramic view, which makes everything appear unique.

Since the bottom fans are in the basement of the fan, there’s no radiator support at the bottom, but there’s enough space for more fans in the chassis. For cooling, CyberpowerPC uses a 360mm radiator AIO liquid, which is more than enough to keep the Intel Core i9 processor cooled. In total, there are three 120mm RGB fans and a further three, located on the sides and rear of the HYTE Y60 case. You won’t have any overheating issues with this PC.

CyberpowerPC also does a nice job of cable routing and offers custom RGB LEDs for the GXiVR8080A34, keeping clutter to a minimum even on the rear panel. In all, this is one of the fine PC cases I’ve seen shipped with a midrange prebuilt, and certainly offers more expansion options than most. Port selection is also robust on the PC, including six USB 3.1 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, 802.11AC Wi-Fi, and a 7.1 audio channel, alongside HDMI and two DisplayPorts on the RTX 4070 Ti graphics card.

Gaming and Graphics performance

Our review unit debuts with some powerful components available on any sub-$2000 machine: an Intel Core i9-13900KF and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. So, we expect to see some pretty massive increases over most previous-gen desktops.

I figured the RTX 4070 Ti and the Core i9 should handle anything thrown at it; you can even max out Control on its highest settings at 4K, with the highest ray tracing options. The GXiVR8080A34 plays the game with aplomb, often running between 64 and 67 frames per second. It drops down to as far as the 60-fps range in a few intense battles. But for a midrange gamer sustaining above 60 fps at 4K? Yeah, this thing’s a beast.

On the Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark (highest settings), the Gamer Xtreme VR runs the game at 293 fps at 1080p and 102fps in 4K. The MSI Infinite RS 13th, a top-tier prebuilt with a beefier RTX 4090 GPU, delivers better but is still within a frame. Compared, the HP Omen 45L, which packs an Intel Core i9-12900K and RTX 3090 hits 161 fps at 1080p and 65fps at 4K, and that demonstrates the generational performance difference with the newer hardware from both Intel and Nvidia.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU

The RTX 4070 Ti delivers solid performance at both 1440p and 4K gaming, at a nearly 15 percent price increase over its predecessor. Performance-wise, it’s around 20 percent faster than the RTX 3080, and competes favorably with AMD’s new Radeon RX 7900 XT, especially for high refresh rate gaming at 1440p. Since there’s no Founders Edition of the RTX 4070 Ti, Nvidia is relying on its board partners to lead the design and layout of its newest GPU.

The 4070 Ti card features a large vapor chamber for cooling, with an extended heat sink for air to pass through toward your RAM or CPU. On the back are three 1.4 DisplayPorts and a single HDMI 2.1 port. You can power a 4K monitor at 240Hz or even an 8K display at 60Hz.

It offers 7,680 cores and 12GB graphics memory with a 192-bit memory bus and is clocked at 22.4 Gbits. It offers great raytracing performance all thanks to the 60 dedicated raytracing cores. In total, the RTX 4070 Ti has 240 Tensor cores, making it a perfect choice for 1440p gaming and some 4K gaming as well. It’s especially suited for 4K play at around 60fps, but you might have to reduce it to QHD resolution on demanding games.

On average, the RTX 4070 Ti’s performance is similar to the previous generation RTX 3090 / 3090 Ti, and as it rolls out into more gaming PCs, we’ll keep tabs to see how it fares against the competition from AMD’s silicones. On the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8080A34, the RTX 4070 Ti easily trades blows with more expensive gaming PCs.

Productivity Performance

With a Core i9-13900KF and 16GB of DDR5 RAM in the system, I expected some solid productivity performance, especially now that the Gamer Xtreme VR has moved to better cooling in a newer case.

On Geekbench 5, the Gamer GXiVR8080A34 earns a single-core score of 2,114 and a multi-core score of 22, 718. The MSI Infinite RS 13th, with the same CPU, but 32GB of RAM, tops out with 2,178 and does even better in multi-core (23,758). On the other hand, the HP Omen 45L running last gen’s Core i9-12900K maxes at 1,914 on single-core and 15,924 on multi-core.

The GXiVR8080A34’s 1TB SSD does a good job of transferring 25GB of data at a rate of 2,101.85 MBps, falling behind the Omen (2.523.56 MBps), but still ahead of the MSI (1, 798.66 MBps).

It takes 2 minutes 58 seconds for the Gamer Xtreme to transcode a 4K video to 1080p in Handbrake. While that’s fairly faster than the Omen 45L (3:39), the MSI Infinite RS 13 is 12 seconds faster.

Bottom Line

The CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8080A34 envisages what prebuilt gaming PCs should be: affordable, stylish, and powerful. That extra ventilation and cooling large cooling fans should help cool high-end gaming models, and also top-tier productivity machines.

With Intel and Nvidia’s latest component also on offer, this machine is a fair jump forward in performance, and we suspect it will be hard to beat considering that it delivers incredible bang for the buck. You’re not going to find a prebuilt gaming PC this affordable unless you opt for a lower configuration.

Seeing CyberpowerPC upgrade the overall design and cooling is good, and it allows you to fully upgrade your system in the future. The MSI Infinite RS 13th, which is our current top pick, is all standardized parts; that was the case with the HP Omen 45L, and we’re glad to see standardized parts on the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8080A34.

Should you buy the CyberpowerPC GXiVR8080A34?

Yes, the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8080A34 is a great gaming PC. And for the price, you’re getting an incredible bang for the buck, especially with the Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti GPU and Intel Core i9-13900KF chip that offers strong performance than most expensive gaming laptops around.
